Board of Directors Governance & Rewards Components Chapter 7
There is significant variation among board governance and rewards programs. Because the variations cannot be explained by company size and industry alone, we believe that the logic and purpose behind the variations goes beyond the scope of industry accepted “best practices,” and requires a more in-depth review. This chapter covers the third and final level of governance and rewards. We refer to this level as the “component” level. Each of the two major issues (governance and rewards) has many components to evaluate. Here we will provide the framework from which to do this evaluation.
